Rules

Bats

13u Bats:

  • 13u 60/90: -5 or -3
  • 13 Major: -5 or -3
  • 13AAA/AA: -8, -5 or -3

14u Bats:

  • 14 Open or 14 Major: -3 BBCOR ONLY
  • 14AA or 14AAA: -5 or -3

Pitching

  • Ages 9-16u: Each Player is allowed 24 outs over a 3 day period. If you pitch more than 9 outs in a day you are required 2 days rest.
  • Ages 9-12u: Daily max is 18 outs
  • Ages 13 & 14u: Daily max is 21 outs.
  • 100 Pitch maximum over 3 days
  • You can pitch in pitch in more than one game in a day if you do not exceed your daily limits

Batting Lineup Rules

  • You may bat 9,10,11 players or your roster. You must declare at the start of the game.
  • May start game with 8 players, 9th player spot is an out when he comes up in lineup.

Game Times

Time Limits per age grouping.

8u-10u Age Groups:

  • Saturday Pool times are 1:30 minutes or 6 innings, which ever comes first
  • Sunday Bracket times are 1:30 minutes or 6 innings, which ever comes first

11-12u Age Groups:

  • Saturday Pool times are 1:40 minutes or 6 innings, whichever comes first
  • Sunday Bracket times are 1:40 minutes or 6 innings, whichever comes first.

13u-14u Age Groups:

  • Saturday Pool times are 1:45 minutes or 7 innings, whichever comes first.
  • Sunday Bracket times are 1:45 minutes or 7 innings, whichever comes first.

If field space allows games will be 2:00 hours or 7 innings, whichever comes first.

All championship games are no time limit if time allows:

  • 9-12u is 6 innings
  • 13-14u is 7innings

Extra Innings

  • Texas Tie Breaker: last 3 outs on base with 1 out.
  • Balk is the MLB ruling (NOT a dead ball)

Forfeits

Only the Head Director can call a forfeit

Pitching Violations

  • 1st pitching violation, replace the pitcher and continue play.
  • 2nd pitching violation, replace pitcher and coach is ejected for the weekend.  

8-10u Specific Rules

The Rules below are in addition to Perfect Game National Rules, anything not found here reverts back to National Rules found by hitting event info then rules when on the tournament page.

8u Kid Pitch Divisions:

  • Max runs Per inning is 5
  • There will be no Lead offs, players are only allowed to steal 2nd & 3rd after the ball crosses home. They can only score on a hit or bases loaded walk, there is also no balks or dropped 3rd strikes.

ALL 9u Divisions:

  • Max Runs per Inning is 5
  • There will be no Lead offs, players are not allowed to steal until the ball crosses the plate, there is no balks or drop 3rd strikes.

ALL 10u Divisions:

  • Our goal is to allow our teams to start teaching players the complete game of baseball at a younger age by playing with leads offs
  • This division will play the same rules as the 11-14u when it comes to being open base rules, balks, lead offs.
  • Field size is 46 pitching & 65 feet bases
